How come you got rid of the 500 so quick? Did you get decent money back for it?

Didnt quite get what I wanted for the 500 but I wasnt too upset about it.

I love the 500 but I wanted a car with a bit more oommph. I have always wanted a Roadster Coupe and to get hold of an RCR with such low mileage (5968), 1 owner etc, was too good to pass up :-), since they are so rare.

Will post pics this weekend :-)

I don't think the RCR is the v6 version - it was based on the looks of that version minus the bonkers engine.

I'm pretty sure that the RCR is a normal Roadster with a Brabus bodykit and painted red rather than the usual black or silver. My recollection is that it has the standard engine, rather than the 101hp Brabus tuned one. Nice car, nonetheless!

Yes its not the V6, rather a limited edition brabus. Has 80 bhp as standard but most came with the 90 bhp/SB2 upgrade.

The main difference besides it is Red and the fact only 50 were made is the lovely Alcantara seats, on the inside of the doors and the dash, much better quality than the normal brabus leather.

Am only getting it next week now, stupid bank changed the rules on me, so cant get the bankers draft until monday, useless w***rs :-)

www.roadstermodelguide.co.uk is a good site if you want to know more about the roadster and different versions made etc.

The RCR was an answer to the smart community crying out for the V6. Unfortunately, the V6 would have cost way too much to make, so they made 50 replica V6's, exactly the same spec as the 'Bluewave' Brabus replica, just painted red and only available in coupe form. Never-the-less, an awesomely rare car, get it re-mapped and keep it in good nick!

NO NO NO! Bike engined smarts are good for the 1st 6 months, then the engine goes 'pop', little bike engines are not designed to push a car around, you get alot of strain on the engine when pulling away or doing hill starts, plus you will be forever re-building the engine! However, there is a place in scotland that will put an RX-7 engine in the back of a roadie eek Thats more like it!

I got my RCR (number 21/50) last week, love it. Cant post pics, have a new PC and cam wont download pics to Apple :-(.

Apart from one of 2 things the car is immaculate and I am very happy. Had a nice long drive from Nottingham to Herts.

It didnt come with the SB2 power upgrade kit but never fear I am getting it remapped this weekend and also getting the SB2 hardware fitted as well, cant wait :-).
