I was hoping someone would know the answer before this gets moved to some satnav forum.

Just bought a new car with a Nokia hands free kit connecting to a BlauPunks radio..the owner thinks the code to pair the device is 1234 or 0000 tried both but neither work, any help welcomed

Thanks

Mine was 00000 I think, it was all zero's anyway.

It worked with my old phone but now I have a Sony it wont connect, very annoying.

depends how old the kit is. Later ones are 0000, but earlier ones had a factory code, however if you have the unit in your hand, you can find this...... its the last 4 digits of the serial number I recall

ck7w is the one I have too, seems strange. Do you have the manual, I can dig it out for you if you need one.

I had this problem a while back, I read all sorts of stuff about parts of serial numbers etc on the internet, but in the end it was a five digit code, which I think was 12345 (or 54321, or possibly 00000).

The important thing is you can get it wrong as many times as you like, there's no lockout after x tries. My understanding was that 12345 (or whatever) was Nokia's default code.

If you try those three and none of them work, let me know and I'll call our contractor - but I'd prefer not to, as it will make me look stupid!

Thank Pete I have tried loads of combos but will do 12345 to check. I am wondering if my 6300 is compatible though?

Yes, should be, I'm using Bluetooth because my work phone broke and the only thing they could give me is an old 6310i, there's not much difference between that and the 6300 if I remember right.

The security code (Menu, Settings, Security settings, Change of access code, Change security code) is 12345 on mine, that's the default.

My car kit is also a Nokia CK-7W.

Just checked back on this and if its a ck7, then it is factory set to 0000. There is no end user way to change this, so if you are finding the kit, then the only thing to do is reset the phones connected to the kit, as it might have reached its maximum paring number, which I think you do by holding down the button on the kit, (check with instructions), you should then find it will pair up...........I hope so anyway

Thanks Jay, tried everything, nokia even suggested part of the serial number but it won't pair. Looking at the device it seems that the mic is also missing frown

I think I'll just get another from ebay an use the existing wiring and speaker just replacing the box, button and mic...

I really don't know why I'm bothering with the sports exhausts and roof down I won't hear a thing anyway biggrin

Thanks for everyones help

A quick search under "ck7 control box" on the bay shows a few available as usual, they can be had for a tenner, so its the cheapest way to get you sorted!!!
Sorry it didn't work out with yours, Regards J

Strange, I have the kit and the code is also 0000. The instructions make no mention of being able to change it. Perhaps your phone isn't compatible or is running a different software version?
