Bike Locks

I live in Oslo, and due to the amount of smack heads rolling around, bike theft is rather rife.

Rather predictably after messing around flying my bike over it got stolen within 3 months. It was nothing flash, looked tired and cost about 400 quid five years ago.

Before I go and buy a new steed, is any bike lock genuinely thief proof ? The most secure looking thing I can find is this :

Bearing in mind I park my bike up and lock it to a solid bike stand, through the wheel and frame, the only problem is the fact I leave it at around 4am before catching the train to work. The local rats will have all the time in the world to get it off despite me parking in the safest looking place.

I use a Magnum Plus shackle lock and it's never failed me yet, looks nice and chunky too so I guess it puts theives off a bit.

Bought a flash bike, and gave roughly 15 quid for a girls step through racer I can leave anywhere.

Problem solved !
