Could anyone please advise on a good all round camera for my £100 budget as i would like to get the best possible camera for my money?
Now iv looked at the fuji finepix j10- anone know if these are any good?
iv also seen the Fuji FinePix F40FD- iv heard these are good but is their anything better out their for my budget?

I recently got my inlaws one of these
I know it's not "slim" but it's easy to use, fast start up and has a decent lens with good zoom range.
I thought for less than £100 it was a bargain
I'd personally go for something like that & rely on my camera phone for snaps rather than a small compact.
I was photographing at a wedding over the weekend and was chatting to the bridesmaids about cameras (as you do!) and between them they had a Casio Exilim (very slim) a Canon Ixus and a small Sony Cybershot.
I had a snap with each, and without fail the white balance was off and the images were over sharpened in camera.
Hardly a definative test granted, but I'd be very disappointed with the results and also they were all very slow to start up.
My 2p

Thanks for the reply, i get what you are saying about the compact cameras not beging upto the same quality, however i really only want a little camera that i can carry around in the car and take with me on holiday without really noticing im carrying it, il admit that that camera shown above is a great camera for my budget but i really need something small and compact,
Any other suggestions anyone?
Thanks
