Leaving Yorks approx 5pm to get to Ashford 9-10pm:

OK just some local knowledge..

Good place to stay, 20 mins to Dover and the hotel's OK. However the area is a glorified service station so you've got a KFC and Burger King within 100 metres of the hotel but bugger all else other than an over priced Frankie and Benny (is that what they call them?).

If you want advice on decent pubs/restaurants within a taxi ride let us know.

No, but a 5 minute taxi ride into the centre of Ashford which is what me, StuB, Blueyonder and possibly Psychobert will be doing

Good to see a few other Pher's will be there...
We'll have a 3 x 3 series BM's (330d, 330ci, M3 CSL), an Alfa GTV, a Tiv T350 and a DB9 volonte for good meausure...
