I got a copy for the PS3 this week.
Its ok, good online and acceptable 1 player. an alternative to Project Gotham on the 360 and the only driving game worth having on the PS3 till full fat GT5 comes out.
Apart from prologue is better, and Ferrari challenge will be good too.Its ok, good online and acceptable 1 player. an alternative to Project Gotham on the 360 and the only driving game worth having on the PS3 till full fat GT5 comes out.
Interesting to hear the feedback here. I can't look at the game objectively any more (I've been looking at it every day for ages!) but a game like GRID is always going to have a tough time versus the PistonHeads demographic
I wish I could cut a special version with full-sim handling & car performance for you guys, but I think I'd get into trouble (and it would take forever to set the cars up with some good defaults).
I've not been involved with correcting the freezing problem (it's not the renderer it seems) but as you can imagine our hearts sank when we saw the vid on YouTube. Problems like this very rarely slip through the net - we have a large QA team at work, and the game has to pass a rigourous certification process at Microsoft before it can be released. We also get the master discs back before the game is released to do testing on retail consoles, but the problem didn't occur.
For the benefit of those people on this thread who actually like the game, I'll post an explanation of what caused it when it's sorted.

What dlc is there going to be for grid?

Back to rfactor for realism, but good fun for a quick race.

The AI are good?? i disagree, even on extreme difficulty i find it pretty easy to win by about half a lap, also when the AI get near to you they ease off and fall miles backstephen300o said:

I haven't sat down and had a proper go at rfactor yet. I've got a bit of holiday coming up, so I might give it a go then.On another note - a yellow NSX pulled onto the M40 north just in front of me today (somewhere south of Oxford). I'm guessing it wasn't you(?), but there can't be many around as I haven't seen one for a year or so. The guy was certainly in a hurry.

Hi there,
My son and I picked the game up on Saturday afternoon.
Put quite simply it is AWESOME !!!!!!!!
I don't play games that much myself (although my son plays them almost non stop), but this has to be one of the best out there.
It has a mix of Touring Cars, Drifting, GT Racing, Prototypes and some historic stuff. So far I have driven an Audi R10, BMW WTCC car, and Koeniggsegg, but my favourite has to be the Chevrolet Lacetti Touring Car (possibly cause its the only one I can drive well !!).
My lad classes himself as a 'Drift Expert', he got an 11 x multiplier last night resulting in an 11 million point total.
Will be playing the game a bit more over the next few days, but I have to say well done Codemasters.
Regards
Tim

, ruins the realism provided by the realistic graffics when you can take most of LeMans flat out.
