Hi Guys and gals,

I hope you don't think i'm being cheeky, but just wondering if there are any T350/Cerb/Tuscan owners in or around the Milton Keynes area that go out for regular blasts and wouldn't mind a passenger for a short trip? I'm basically thinking about chucking in my Elise for a TVR. I've always liked the idea of them but would really like to at least be a passenger in one and a chat to the pilot about what they're like on a personal level ie not a showroom salesman giving me the patter etc etc. Of course if a stop off in a pub is required the beers are on me.

Oh yes and i'm not an axe murderer or the like smile

Thanks,
Mark

Edit: I hope this doesn't sound too much like a lonely hearts ad?

Cheers Longers,

The Northampton one is right near my missus's house. That'll do nicely.

Good show smile

Living between the Northants & East Mids ones I sometimes visit either so I might see you there wink

I'd offer to take you for a spin in mine but it sounds like you're after something a bit newer!

I'd be happy to take you out in the Chimaera but not sure if thats what you're after!
Plenty of TVR owners in MK - if you want to be truly shown what a Cerb can do then get in touch with BossCerbera as he lives in MK.

Cheers guys, you're a helpful bunch smile

I was looking newer yeah, the lines/sounds of the models I listed just make me giddy, the missus just doesn't get it? Although I do love some of the older ones too.

I think I prefer the T350 but that's because i've got stuck in my head that it's a newer car, and therefore must be better. Although i'm sure this isn't the case?

I might contact BossCerbera, don't wanna come across as a nutter or a right cheeky Bcensoredd. But that would be ultra convenient and cool. I'll probably pop along to a meet too, thanks guys for being so helpful,

Mark

Mark, my S has "the sounds" but I agree the lines of the T350 are stunning. IF I had the extra £'s and decided to sell my S I'd seriously think about a T350 (to me the best looking car TVR ever made) but would probably go for a Tamora - you don't see many and, an important requirement for me as a "toy" car, you can get the roof offwink

Happy hunting smile

You'll find the TVR massive are like that, especially when it comes to selling the TVR idea to a newbie. You will end up buying one, believe me. mwahahahahaha....biggrin

Oh yeah Tamora's. I'm not sure about them, I really think colour has a lot to do with that car. Get the right colour and it looks so good. Get the wrong one and I think it looks like a weird fish (sorry, don't mean to offend anyone). Tis all a matter of opinion i'm sure. I think my Elise looks like a weird bug from some angles smile

Not heard many wallet busting stories about Tamora's either and the roof off motoring does appeal. But I think i'd always be pining after a T350 (preferably the targa smile)

All depends on pennies at the end of the day. The car will probably be on a PCP or some kinda finance. Just depends on how much grin factor the car gave me as to how much money i'm willing to part with each month. If that makes sense?

I know, I don't think I could turn one down if I saw a good 'un. The only thing stopping me from signing up for an Exige S last week was the thought of a T350 oh and the t**t salesman putting me right off. I'm young-ish you see and dress rather odd (punky stuff). I just get sneered at until they realise i'm interested in buying and i've just turned up in the Elise (w****rs).

I think going from 28 ish mpg to god knows what, will hurt, but ho hum, I'm gonna end up with no money cry

But i'll have an awesome car smokin

If BossCerb took you out in one of his Cerbs you'd either be hooked or running for the toilets to empty your pants out hehe

I like the sound of that! I do want to experience a bit of "spirited" driving in one. Even if it's as a s**t stained passenger laugh

I noticed you said CerbS, as in more than one. I'm jealous!

Holy cow! I see why you said about the toilet + emptying + pants now. When I get back from lunch i'll try and PM him, if I can work out how to do it smile

Thanks

Official Lotus Dealer just past Shenley by any chance?
Popped in there last year enquiring about a 111S and they barely even acknowledged me even after I'd told the salesman what I was interested in.

yes Phil took me out for a couple of pax laps round Silverstone in the 4.5 - fugging awesome, wasn't a single car keeping with us and there were some proper track/race cars on track at the time.
The thing that gets me though is the casual manner of his driving - makes me feel like a right amateur (though thats not far from the truth).

I came from a Honda'd S1 Elise to the Tuscan. They are quite different beasts, so do drive one before you decide! Generally the Elise would kick the ass of the Tuscan, except over a ton on the straight bits. So agility is definitely the Elise territory with go-kart responses. The Tuscan is great in so many other ways though, it's much more of an event all around.

If you're looking to trade in the Lotus, might be an idea to pop into Castle TVR in Stansted (http://www.castlesportscars.co.uk/index.php?sty=2) who is a Lotus/TVR dealer.

erm... just looked at their website and there's no sign of any tivs there now! How odd.

Yep that's the place, Crownhill. They have a spotty oik in there and a Ginger t***er (i'm ginger myself so I think I can get away with saying that smile). I Bought my car from there a year ago from Gavin, but he's moved back to Stratstone Jag. I seriously would of considered buying a car from there, until I met them.
