As my pedals are completely broken im going to need a new wheel.

My existing wheel is a very early logitech one that cost me about £25 amost ten years ago.. so ive got my moneys worth from it.
So im not used to having a good quality wheel, my existing one is more like a toy to be honest.

At the moment im looking at the G25, but its a bit expensive.

So what I want to know is...

What wheels are you guys using, and what would you recomend buying?
Are there any I should avoid?

I dont suppose you can just buy a set of decent pedals on there own.. as the wheel works fine.

Well...
1) G25 and 2) G25 hehe. Well i will be using mine as soon as Dell deliver it (how long do you need? furious)

On a serious note, the DFP i'm using at the moment is brilliant, only reason i'm switching is for the gated shifter. biggrin

They can be had for a lot less than Logitech's price too, try Amazon.

Get the G25, it is the daddy of steering wheels!
Absolutely worth the £148 it cost me, no question! smile

I've got a Logitech Driving Force Pro which I've had since Gran Turismo 4 was released (about 3 years?).

It works pretty well, but catching oversteer is a bit of a "hand on your heart" moment as there is still a lot of friction and it makes some bad noises, so try not to do that too often and not with whole armfulls of lock silly

As a result mine has a bit of play dead centre now rolleyes

Some people say the peddles are not very strong, and I encountered my first problem with them this weekend, but hopefully a re-calibration and a hoover will sort them out. However I always play with only socks, I think if I used shoes I would have killed them by now.

If you want to enjoy your sim racing as much as possible, you can only go for the G25 or Porsche 911 turbo wheels. Simple as!

They cost alot, but come with guarentees, and exceptional build quality. Games are designed around these wheels, you dont want to miss out do you?

I'm in the market for a new wheel and pedals too as my current Microsoft Sidewinder (yes it's that old) isn't properly supported on Vista (unless someone can tell me otherwise). Has anyone tried any of the Thrustmaster 3 pedal set ups?
