i woke up this morning with high hopes of removing the skuttle and clean up the rust ready to fit new skuttle but..... it wasnt as easy as that "ITS A MINI" and they rust like hell dont they. The bulkhead wasnt to bad although it looked alot worse before started the clean up process. Luckily most of the rust was pretty light surface rust which came off to clean metal in no time with the circular copper brush on a cordless drill but some parts were a bit worse ans slightly pitted so i cleaned the best i could and rust treated it. There was 1 hole just behind clutch and brake bottles which we plated but still needs cleaning up and fibreglassing to get the shape bak. I flatted all remaining paint around the bulkhead with 400 W/D, cleaned with petrol and give it a prime to protect it from the elements.

im wondering what to do with the hole located on this pic wright by the wing/A panel and the other side too? Any suggestions?

Also what would be recomended here, i can make the seam no probs but whats the best way to fix it? Any ideas?

today has been a good day over all, got loads done, (big thanks to jeff hes a star) well thats it for today and thanks in advance for any advice giving..neale..
