Networking and Security Engineer,

Working for a small, financially secure and rapidly growing Security and Networking integrator. The company is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire with clients predominantly in London and the South East, however travel further afield may be a requirement later.

Varied role including both pre and post sales responsibilities, candidate needs to be a FAST learner and able to become proficient with new products and technologies independently and via formal training courses with a view to gaining industry recognised qualifications very quickly. The applicant must be professional, presentable and able to work well in a customer facing role providing pre-sales advice to sales staff and clients specifying equipment and solutions based on the individual organisations requirements. The role will progress very quickly to include onsite installation and integration work, post sales support and presales meetings with clients. Experience working within the reseller/distribtion channel would also be advantageous but not a neccesity.

Within 3 months of starting the candidate will be trained and need to pass examinations in Juniper Netscreen Firewalls, Netscreen SA SSL VPN, Riverbed WAN acceleration and possibly others.

Ideally suited to a candidate looking for the next step up in their career with new challenges. Experience of TCP/IP and general networking such as switching and routing an absolute must. Knowledge of Juniper Networks, RSA SecurID a distinct advatage. A working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and LDAP is also required.

Experience with any of the following is advantageous but not a requirement, training will be provided. Bluecoat, Ironport, Barracuda Networks, Trend Micro, Secure Computing, Riverbed, Cisco, SonicWall.

Please contact me via my profile including a CV, contact details and a brief covering letter/email detailing your current employment status and availability.

Thanks

Dave
