A few macro shots from the weekend
Discussion
I decided to have a weekend off from motorsport, and spent some time pottering about in the garden. Clicky for larger versions

This Aphid was less than 1mm long, shot at 5:1.

These were all hand held, no stacking or cropping, manual everything and taken with the 40D, MP-E65 f2.8 lens and MT-24EX flash. I am getting used to the new gear now, what a difference from the 100mm f2.8.
Cheers,
Neil.

Very good stuff, like the way you've handled the lighting. That first one reminds me of some old biology books where you had pages that folded back to reveal various sections of the body layer by layer.
I like this shot, it's my new wallpaper.Byker, yeah, it's the two flashes
