All True MG Metro Turbo engines should be 9.4:1

im not to sure about that but i may be wrong reason being, my metro 1275 engine is a 12HE72 and as you can see on the chart above thats standard 1275 with a CR of 9.4.1, i would of though the turbo would have a greater CR

The 9.4:1 is the static compression ratio. It doesn't matter whether the engine is NA or not as it's determined by the the engine internals. In fact NA engines tend to have higher static CR. But that's another topic all together.

i did say i may be wrong hehe, so am i wright in saying the bore size on the turbo could be, or is the same as the NA engine as stock.. I thought they would be bigger?

The bore size is the same for all 1275's. The volume at the top of the stroke will however be bigger. IIRC this is done using dished pistons.

See this link for an explanation of the static CR.

12H indicates that the engine is a 1275, with a High compression Ratio. L would mean that the engine is a low compression.

This will help (paste into URL):

That link is pointing to a file on your local machine, not somewhere web accessible?

Simple answer is to take the head off and measure the comp ratio, then you will know for certain.
