I read the thread yesterday but all I got were links that were nothing to do with biplanes so gave up.

Bad piloting. How the hell you can be on final and not miss the guy lining up, I don't know.

Similarly, how can you enter and line up without at least checking to see who was on final?

Thirdly, what was the tower doing at this point?

In short, a mass ar$e feeling is due at that airport, and for very good reason.
