First rally with an SLR (D80), had a few hiccups like battling with shutter lag all weekend as it had an 'exposure delay mode' (mirror lockup I think) turned on which I didn't find in the menu until tonight. But still got a good few that I'm fairly happy with. C & C welcome - always looking to improve.

ETA: Photos are 1024 rather than 750 wide as I'm too lazy to resize them all, so PH chunks them up a little. Clicky to open them should fix that.

Some nice pics there, especially for a first attempt at rally. My first effort taking rally shots at Wales last year was shocking!

My only comment really is there isn't much motion from the wheels, a bit of panning would perhaps improve the sense of motion.

Cheers
Will

Should clarify, not my first rally by any means but the first time I've had an SLR at one (Fuji S5500 previously). The half second shutter lag was putting me off using a slower shutter and panning more, I see what you mean about the wheels though.

And I'm too lazy to wait for them all to download. Sorry Ben.

nice shots! Looking at the exif for one of them I would use TV mode rather than AV (I prefer Manual) and a slower shutter speed, this would give the shots more motionwink
