Voltmeter

Lovely ride in my 94' V8SC Sunday, only one thing broke.
The Voltmeter died, other instuments ok & the gauge illuminates.I guess therefore its the gauge itself? Would anyone have any ideas please?
Also is it possible to get at the gauge by removing just the transmission tunnel?

Hi - I think its a dashboard out to get at the voltmeter. I sorted mine when I fixed the heater motor. The voltmeter on mine ( S3 ) is located on a removable horizontal panel along with the other instruments - if the wing nuts are not rusted up and you have surgical tendancies you should be able to release the well hidden fixings - good luck.
The voltmeter read low on mine but on checking it was the volt drop thro' various connections so I used a relay and it now reads battery voltage correctly. If you have to take out the meter then I suggest you clean up all the connections whilst you have access.
