As the title suggests can someone recommend a fairly central (& pref english speaking) hotel in Reims that is reasonably priced and has secure parking? I'll be going in August and don't really want to leave my car parked in the central square car park again as one of my party (last year) had his Elise very badly keyed whilst there.

Not that central but the Novotel is good, the reimshoon lot have used it so the parking must be okay and the food is great. Oh and it's just down the road from the old GP track.

Thanks - though probably a little too far out as we want to be able to walk into the centre.

The Holiday Inn (Garden Court) is very central and you'll get to experience their car lift! Whilst I was there someone manage to fit an Audi Q7 in the lift so you shouldn't have any problems. Fairly reasonable priced if you book early and nice views from the top floor restaurant.

There is also a new Best Western on the same street which has parking but the hotel was fully booked when we were there.

Both the Mercure Cathedral and the Ibis have locked parking if you're travelling on a budget.

I stayed at Mercure Cathedral September last year. Identikit Eurpoean business hotel and pretty sterile. Mind you, I'm not a fan of Rheims in general TBH- has all the ingredients to be a fun place, but isn't. The Mercure does have secure parking, though it's underground and down a pretty steep ramp. You can also park round the back of the hotel if there's space. I parked the DB9 out front there last year and it was fine.

Have stayed at Best Western, very nice hotel for price, modern rooms, v secure parking (ramp might be a bit steep). Have just returned from outskirts of Epernay (just down the road from Reims) and would also recommend staying out of town amoungt the vines (so to speak).

We took a fistful of TVRs there in 2005 and I don't recall any problems with access.

Chateau de Crayeres and Aux Armes de Champagne both have enclosed car parks full of nice cars. I have confidence leaving my car there.

edit: whether you consider them to be reasonably priced is another matter though.

It's kind of half way between the two I believe. I don't think it's possible to write it phonetically in English.

depsnds whether "reasonably priced" means cheap or (subjectively) value for money.

I think we can be fairly confident on how to interpret 'reasonably priced' in this instance.

I think my original edit indicated that I realised these might not be quite what the OP was seeking.

...it's reasonable for a hotel with a 3 michelin star restaurant!!!

Ok, the Best Western Hotel de la Paix is central, reasonably priced, good parking and a good bar!!
