A4 BOOT LOCK

Hi, was looking for some help, I have a friend who's boot lock has failed on an A4,they managed to snap the plastic key off in the lock, and it won't unlock on central locking, or the keyfob, any ways to get into the boot would be a great help. Can i get in through the passenger compartment, by removing the rear seats ? They dont seem to fold down. Ita an X reg. Thanks. Melv
