hi all just wondered if anyone has any experience of the gunk used for puncture prevention ,as used in motor bike tyres, used in car tyres.

its an ok get you home fix if the hole is small enough. obviously no good for sidewall tears ect.

Works ok, but the tyre fitters hate it. I am sure the one I used (not on the TVR) was dupe or something sounding like that.

We supply and fit "seal a wheel",

Good stuff, 9 vehicles in our fleet and never had a puncture in 2 yrs, plus 100s of others we have done for customers, cant speak for them, although never heard of any issues.

Will fill a hole up to 6mm, losing only approx 1lb of air pressure in the process.

Ive never had a puncture in 26 years ,thats with just air in em smile

I haven't had one for a few years either....just the whole wheel coming off at high speed on the motorway.

Don't think that stuff would have helped much. hehe

thanks guys the reason i asked was due to a mate of mine being offered to get some fitted as a preventitive method and i hadnt heard of it being fitted to a car before and didnt know whether it would have any adverse effects,like going hard whilst idle for long periods and causing an out of balance thanks again thumbup
