2.8 Engine for sale

YAY!!!! selling this can only mean one thing. The cossie is nearly in.

Complete 2.8 engine with exception of Flywheel, purrs like a kitten.
I drove it 3 hours from Essex to Nottingham without a blip

£100 to anyone who wants it.

Also has a BRAND NEW starter motor (Cost £70) which I had to put on to drive it up there,
Almost new alternator, brand new spark plugs, serviced every 6 months or so.
66K on the clock.

Hi James, still go that engine? I am seriously tempted! I have just got back from 2 weeks away to find out that, during honing of my spare block ready for the rebuild, a tiny crack has been found in the block! I now have two 'dead' engines and S club beckons! Panic! Do I take it from your posting that the engine is in Nottingham? It is a long way from me (Preston) but by chance I am due to go to Derby at the end of the week and Nottingham wouldn't be much further at all.

if youre struggling I have a 2.8 out of my tasmin .. was a good engine when i removed it so might be worth a look? chesterfield not far from derby .. but give the other guy first chance to sell his to you, I don't want to step on that deal

It's at Long Eaton, just along the A52 from Derby.

Hi Mike, do I take it that you are referring to the engine offered by James? If so that sounds like a really lucky break for me and I would be very grateful indeed. If so please let me know how to make contact direct and I will do my best to sort this quickly.

Thanks James and Mike, picked up the engine yesterday. Help very much appreciated. Intend to start work Monday. Can I still get her finished, MOT'd and to S Club?????? Its a tall order but I will try.
