Help: Cooper Cabriolet roof stopped working.....

Typical isn't it - the sun's here and the cabrio roof decides to stop working....

When I press the button the 'sunroof' piece opens, but it won't go any further to open fully.

On pressing the button to try and make it fold fully down the button next to it (for putting the roof up) flashes red continually. Any ideas what this could mean?

Inspection doesn't reveal anything obvious.

We did just have some repairs to the rear bumper after a small knock, and obviously we will be back there on Monday to see if they could have done something, but in the meantime if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Check the parcel shelf - there's a little trip switch that the shelf sits on on the LHS. No shelf pressing down on switch = no roof operation

Thanks - I found the switch but it didn't make any difference. Perhaps it is broken, or perhaps the garage somehow disconnected it when they fixed the bump.

Anyway, it's good to know it is there - let's see what the garage have to say tomorrow.
