1992 Galant ABS & central locking seems to be connected in some way, for reasons only known to the great God of vehicle electronics the ABS warning light wont go out and the ABS wont work until the central locking button on the drivers door is depressed. Light then goes out and ABS works even after re-lifting central locking button ABS will continue to work until ignition turned off then we start again. Oh! The central locking does not work at all (fuse is OK). The car has had the obligatory ECU repair recently and may have a connection to the problem. Can anyone HELP!! or has anyone got a wiring diagram
The better halfs Puma has the ABS light on permanently following me freeing a wheel stuck on the hub by loosening the wheel nuts and braking sharply. A number of people suggested disconnecting the battery and leaving the ignition on for a couple of days to reste the ECU.
It didn't work for me, but may work on your car.
Danny
PS Anyone got any ideas on the Puma?

Problem now solved
Auto electricians (possibly by accident) inserted the plug for the ABS and central locking relays into the SD connector. It did not fit but they got it in somehow. anyway its back where it belongs and the cars fine now. Thanks for your sugestions Danny and deltaf
