Stainless Steel Fuel Tank Source

Since I've had the S2 for 13 years and I've never got round to posting on here I thought it was about time I got round to saying hi.
The main reason for posting was to say that I'd finally decided to get a new fuel tank made up, and after a bit of searching found a marine fabrication company who make one off tanks for boats, just down the road from me.
They have made a high quality stainless replacement for me (304 grade) for a reasonable £295 inc vat. This seemed quite competitive compared to other quotes I've seen.
The tank was made using my old one as a template and is dimensionally very accurate. Two internal baffles were incorporated as well as the other fittings. One enhancement was the replacement of the existing sealing plate arrangement (for the gauge sender and the access to the strainer at the bottom of the tank) with a plate or ring retained by seven equally spaced studs. Hopefully this will provide more reliable sealing than the original design (so long as I tighten them up equally).
The company that made it are happy to make more (they have retained the dimensions of mine).
