I love a nice takeaway burger, not like Gourmet Burger Kitchen etc, just a nice regular takeaway.

My fave places are Red Veg in Soho, and Schwartz Brothers in Bath.

Also for a trashier burger, Rockys near Heathrow Airport is brilliant!

So what's yours?

Have fond memories of Schwartz in Bath, I always went to the one near the Theatre Royal after a night out. Blue cheese was the best! In fact, I haven't had one for years so i think i will visit the one on Bath Road in Leckhampton tonight thumbup

Brett's Burgers in Oxford. The outlet on the Cowley Road - not the station one.

Aioli Burger - murrh garliccy zan yoo cood shaik a steek at, monsieur. The burger blackened from the "charcoal" indoor grill/bbq.

Last ate one twenty-five years ago but still remembered with fondness. lickyes

Peppers at the back of the Jockey on the road that runs parallel to St Giles is a fine Oxford burger.

Ciao burger on Gloucester Road, bristol is very good also. It's amazing the difference between what the fast food joints class as a burger and the proper places who make them with decent ingredients and not just aholes and bks like McDonalds et al.

The burger van at JJ's shooting ground in Kent. To die for (especially when you're freezing cold and starving) biggrin

Mickey Fins Collosal Burger from Bristol City center, not sure if it still there though as the last one I had was in 1984.

I'd add another vote for Schwarz in Bath; very, very good.

Seems quite a popular one. I'm really annoyed that it's in Bath though, I live in London and don't really have any reason to go down to that area.

May do a day trip to the area in summer.

It's on the Bath Road, going towards Heathrow, near a newly opened Tesco Metro on that road.

It's a tiny little takeaway with a red front, which is normally manically busy.

The burgers are just your average trashy takeaway fare but somehow it's very tasty and addictive!
