TVR Servicing - Shropshire/Staffs/West Mids

Who would you recommend for servicing as I live in Shropshire.
In addition has anyone had experience of TVR Power Coventry or David Gerald TVR ??

I use Team Proactive (Team Central as was, when they were an official TVR dealer) in Perry Barr, Birmingham, 0121 0344 3400.

Good bunch of guys, many of whom have years of experience with both road and race TVRs.

Kings is my local dealer but I wouldn't really recommend them. I get the feeling that my car's being serviced by a Chrysler Neon specialist rather than a trained TVR mecahnic!

Never used TVR Power but do know that they're cheaper than Kings. They did want to charge me £60 (10 miles each way) to collect the car for a service! I've heard that they only want to work on the engines so if you've some other problem then who knows?

Clarkes in Bromsgrove have just opened as a TVR dealer. I've never used them but may go and have a look soon. Anyone else been there?

Team Pro in Brum also good but not "official" anymore.

Have you contacted Colin Blower? Advertises in Sprint and I have used him for about three years now. Very competitive. Call them and ask to speak to Mervyn...

Hi,

I only live a few miles from Clarke's and dropped in before Christmas to see if they had any Griff 500s in stock. Had a chat with the manager (friendly, supplied coffee!) who used to run an Aston dealership. He told me that their existing mechanics had all been trained up in Blackpool to do the servicing. If I'm honest I guess I would have been more impressed if they had recruited somebody with TVR experience to run the service side but who knows? At least they were previously Honda technicians.

He also mentioned that they were considering NOT supplying the 12 month Sprint warranty with used car purchases, rather substituting it with a 3 month warranty of their own! I don't know if they will end up doing this or not but so long as the sale price reflects it then fair enough I suppose!

(Still think I'd prefer 12 months after a £20k spending spree - I definitely got my money's worth out of my last Sprint warranty.)

Incidentally, they had a few used Chimaeras in stock but nothing else that I could see.
