Real world mpg. 2.0 TS, 1.8TS and 2.4 diesel?
Discussion
Hi guys. Justed popped over from the Lotus forum as I may need to supplement my Elise with something else in the next few months.
I've been thinking of a 2.0 TS or 2.4 diesel.
What sort of real world mpg can I expect from these?
I don't do any city driving, just a mix of A and B roads.Thanks.

Thanks guys. Sounds good enough. Given the price difference between petrol and diesel I reckon I could live with the 2.0TS. The only thing I might miss though is the lazy torque of a diesel - I've got the Elise for when I feel like driving properly! One worry I have with the diesel is that being a fairly large lump slung out front it would have a detrimental effect on the driving experience compared to to the TS??

Yes, the 2.4 is heavier and makes the car less chuckable. Another option would be to consider the 1.9 JTD which carries less of a weight penalty.Personally I love the 2.0TS, it's super smooth, rorty and great fun.
