Have driven all sorts of equipment. Have both the new Noble and a Nissan GTR on deposit. Drove a Gallardo the other day but it's just not as good. GT3RS almost there, but not. So I think I'm going to keep the current car and maybe stretch it some more. Has anyone driven anything that comes close? Please let me know. N2H
996 GT2 is very close.
I would say as fast as the M400 in standard form, quicker from 110 units up. After that it pulls like a train
Has similar raw feeling in terms of drive, very tail happy and lots of grip. Still getting used to the light feeling on the steering, as the units increase the steering gets better.
I do not regret the move, I do however miss the apreciative glances, the camera phones etc.
As to an Ultima, too kit car for me, sorry Jenks, just can not get my head round it, may as well buy a Caterham.

I think Joust is bang on the money.
I too have driven all comers but I'm afraid if you are expecting to "beat" the Noble for shear diving dynamics and a modicum of practicality i.e. leaving the Atoms Radicals and caterhams of this world out of the equation then for me at least, the F430 (you have to try one with ceramic carbon brakes!) has eased the pain of moving Marques (he said after only two days and 250 miles) but at twice the price.
I honestly think if you want to get near the Nobles ability in a high-end car then a F360 Challenge Stradale is the way to go

You MUST drive one of these; the cabin noise is just FANTASTIC!! And the handling is very nimble for a big car.
I wish I could have kept my M400 but money and politics played a big part in the decision to change cars.

Oh! I should have said I kept away from Pork as I have owned two and I wanted a change.
So if bacon is your want, then of course a widowmaker is entirely a different proposition altogether, just mad acceleration, with the usual porky handling habits

It is a completely different car, in almost every aspect. The handling is good, so far, I have not been anywhere near the edge as you would expect as the car is new to me, I will let you know when I get her on track one day.

Just fancied a change (and a 4 year manufacturers warranty) which leaves Porsche's two year warranty wanting somewhat.IMO.
