I intend using door mounted stainless mirrors as per MGB/Mini and taimar rather than the bullet style favoured on earlier cars.

Is there a particular model / fitting kit I should be looking for?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks, Alan

Hi Alan,

I noticed RatSport (part of the Quiller Triumph Shop) are doing a 'Tex' style mirror. I think these may have been the original style for the M.

If this link does not work just look check www.ratsport.com

Thanks JPA for your thoughts.

I emailed TEX and received the reply:

.....Thank you for your enquiry, our door mirrors come complete with the plinths, however the deep plinth, if you need to use that one, does also come in chrome....

So the next question is - which plinth is required?

Any ideas anyone?

Alan

On my 3000S you definately need the deep plinth as otherwise you can't adjust it properly so I would have thought it would be the same on the M.

When I bought mine they came with the deep plinth as a seperate part included with the mirror. The only problem with the deep plinth is that they are made of quite brittle plastic and I have had 2 of them broken in car parks by people walking by and catching the mirror. They're not cheap to buy seperately as it seems that you can only get the direct from Tex.
