Finished work, packed the family in the car and took off to Aldeburgh for a slap up fish & chip supper (out of the paper in the car - don;t worry, not our car, the mother in law has left her car with us for a week whilst they are on holiday hehe - now it smells like a chippy!)

Took these tonight

Edited to add - 1st attempt at a HDR pic...

Last one was a bit of practice with off camera flash.

Hope you like them

Chris

I think they're all pretty awesome - 1 and 3 in particular.

What HDR software did you use and how far apart were the exposures?

The HDR one was composited together in Paint Shop Pro X2 (I have just upgraded from PSP 9) the three were taken one full stop apart (one under, one as metered in the camera, and one one stop over) - I have then played with the contrast & levels to get the effect on the sky.

Many thanks for the kind words.

MY favoutite is number 3, it's an interesting piece you are highlighting with the flash.

Ah, I thought number 3 might have been HDR as well... just a flash.

I've never managed to get a satisfactory shot with the built-in flash on my 400D, I'm not sure how much is me and how much is the limitations of the device. I think that shows just how ell they can work.
