UK Xbox 360 - will it work in the US

Morning,
I'm relocating to New York in a week and was planning on taking my Xbox with me, but suddenly thought that it may not work due to the voltage difference.
Does anyone know if this is the case?
Otherwise I may look to sell it before I go and either get a new one or a PS3 when I get there.

In the UK we have the PAL system whereas the US use NTSC.
Not really sure what it means but I know they are not compatable.

The power supply will happily cope with both voltages, but what about region coding of games - if you buy games over there i'm not sure they'd work on your machine.

It depends on the game whether or not they are region locked.

The issue will be region coded games (ie, a UK machine probably won't play games purchased in the US). I'm not sure if MS enforce this or not.
I'm taking my TV with me that handles both PAL and NTSC. It can also cope with the dual voltage.
I'll be out there for upwards of 3 years, so a fairly permanent move.
Might have to look into regional coding.. But as I'm likely to get a PS3 I may just keep the Xbox for playing the games I already have and if something amazing comes out then I can always buy a copy in the UK when I am over..

The power brick should be able to handle 110-230V 50/60Hz You'll need a new 'kettle' lead with the american plug at the other end.
My PSP is an american one, and even the small charger can take 110/230 50/60 voltages. All I needed was a UK plug to attach to the PSP transformer/charging lead.
If you get a PS3, then the games are not region locked.
Some, not all of 360 games are region locked, all EA games are.
