A friend of mine sent me some spyshots of a Brera testing at Prodrive HQ? i'd attach the pics if I knew how, it looks HOT and will hopefully offer the power the Brera deserves. Has anyone else seen/heard anything on this one?

Yes, but it's possible it's only cosmetic tweaks e.g. seats, wheels, bodykit etc.

First heard about it a year ago....

On another site, one Alfa dealer said Prodrive had "tuned the running gear, lightened the car substantially, and shaved a fair bit off the 0-62", so hopefully a bit more than just spoilers and big wheels.

PS: A dealer on another forum posted this

"The Prodrive Brera is due out in June in the 2.2JTS and 3.2V6 both FWD. It will have prodrive Suspension, Brakes and Exhaust and will be available in Alfa Red, Carbonio Black and Touring Grey with 19" 8c style wheels, Leather Dash standard on the 3.2 and optional on the 2.2. Prices and actual name TBC!

Suspension, brakes and exhaust are going to struggle to give it the extra 50 horses isn;t it... What it really needs is a major diet, but it is hard to see how that will happen. My fear would be that the Prodrive thing will be more marketing than substance, but I dearly hope to be proved wrong.

My big thing is that I'm looking for something to replace the GTA, and I'm not sure this is it, and the details of the V8 powered 159 GTA are way to sketchy to be relied on at this point. I'd be very interested in how other GTA'ers see their future with Alfa developing.

I'm going to freshen my GTA up with new suspension (probably Koni FSD + Eibach springs) renew bushes and other worn bits and fit a Q2.
Then wait for the 159 GTA...........tumbleweed

How about a 3.7 conversion by Glenwood Motors in SA - 425 BHP will put a smile on your face.

Nice shot, but apart from the wheels I can't see any cosmetic mods on that at all, which hopefully means all the changes are mechanical???
