Quick question: Do you still show up on the UAV map when you fire even if you have the radar jammer perk? Or does the jammer just prevent you from being seen when they launch a UAV?

Your on the radar if you fire an unsilenced weapon (or make any other noisy activity).

Radar jammer only blocks UAV

dead silence is the most pointless waste of perk 3 around.

you can go silent by just crouching.

its all about extreme conditioning, or last stand, or steady aim

any here ever used eavesdrop?

Yeah, great if you speak Russian or German hehe

Bit useless unless they speak English.

It also means you can run though and make less noise, also you make less noise I think when jumping from ledges etc.

As I thought... bummer!

So there's no way you can be fully "covert" if you're a sniper?

Nope, but then the whole game would turn into a camping sniper fest with a very low kill count. Wheres the fun in that?

True, I've been through 3 prestiges never having touched the sniper rifles but now getting to grips with them... I'm usually a run and gunner so its requiring a little more patience wink

The overkill perk is good in hardcore, you can use your favourite indoor gun (p90 or whatever) and have a sniper rifle for when you reach some open fields or whatever..

what Scorp said. Overkill is great with a sniper rifle. People also don't expect a guy in a Ghillie suit to have a G36 ready when they come for him....

True, in hardcore, but you loose the significant advantage of stopping power if you play in any other type of game
