Christ almighty... what’s it coming to? Power gone to his head?

It probably sounds really immature but I'd love to chin that guy and re-educate him, what a complete utter imbecile. There’s no way on earth that he would of detained me in that situation I tell you now.

I wonder how many emails the 'security' company has now had, and if they'd like some more ?

Well done to the bloke for keeping his cool. The moment the Security Monkey put his hands on me i'd probably have gone ballistic.

I really hope they press charges, at least then the word that photography isn't illegal would get round.

he has no power to detain anyone, he's a security guard. He wants to watch what he's getting up to, 'touching' the photographers could constitue a Sec 39 Assault.

Jobsworth prat with a walkie talkie, note how he didnt explain his grounds for detaining them.

So what is the Law on Street Photography?? Is there one, i can get the shadey taking photos of people without asking permission, that is a bit strange, but if this happends to anyone else, what do we do/ say? I always thought photography was fine anywhere, providing its not clearly stated not too.

This story was also covered on Wired magazines site.
They were very keen for photographers to become pro-active in fighting this nonsense.

s.o w.h.a.t?

I really can't stand the repost police (nothing personal, you understand).

It's like leaning into somebody else's conversation in a pub and saying "oi, losers, we've just had that chat over here. Talk about something else."

Rant over.

hah, I love people like that. Its great fun filming them as they tell you you're doing something illegal.

Usually I just ignore them but if this guy had been in my face I think I would have responded with like force tbh.
