Does anyone know how to set a D100 to continuous shooting mode. I have set it to what I thought was continuous shooting (left hand dial set to the 3 boxes between the S and timer symbols)but it only does single frames. In fact it only seems to be doing single shots on any of the 3 settings.
I also can't find the manual at the moment.

I've just found an online manual and I seem to be using the right mode but it isn't working. It used to be pretty quick but would buffer after around 6 shots.

Check the old Auto NR chestnut. Guaranteed to wreck FPS.

Sorry to be dense but what is Auto NR?
Edited; Noise Reduction. I turned it all off and reset the camera and it still didn't work. I wiggled the focus ring on one lens (Sigma, locked for auto focus) and continuous shooting started working for a couple of seconds, I changed lenses for a Nikon one and it no longer works so I assume something is broken.
Ah well it could be an excuse for a D300
