You asked for it : A G-WIZ Tossing flash game

Hi All,

I was on here a few weeks back looking for ideas for a sequel to the
Caravan Toss game I made a while ago. G-WIZ seemed to be the next most
hated thing on the roads, so as discussed, here it is:-

Enjoy. All feedback welcome. There's a Bonus explosion in this game
(use space) adding a bit of skill and timing into the mix.

I like it - you didnt do a viral for a environmental report company did you?

one point I would make and its only a little one - when you press re-start it sould take you back into the start of the game rather than having to click start again.

Glad you're all enjoying it so far.

Congrats on that top score. It's harder than my last game so I'd not
thought it possible... Guess I'll have to wait a while before I find
out what the top score ever is going to be.

It says press space for another explosion, i'm not sure how pressing space more than once after that is exploiting the game...

I'm not sure how you managed to get more than one space bar press
out of the game.. What browser, OS and version of Flash are you
using? Congrats on finding a bug anyhow.

I have altered the game now. It won't accept unrealistic scores
into the score table now. Paul is reinstated at the top.

I was just using firefox on xp. I dont know how to find out what version of flash i'm using. The click space bar button just kept re appearing every time I pressed it. I haven't been able to replicate it again so it may have been a one off. Although the person second on the leader board was not me, it just happened that they were called matt so I can only assume they had the same thing.

You might need to reset the entire scoreboard to be honest as Im pretty sure the 500 odd scores came about through the same way, although the users may not have noticed.

edited to add- just been playing again and its still doing the same thing i actually think anything other about 150 is probably done like this.

Your score system isn't very secure .



I'm not sure how you generate your checksum but it's valid per session. I suggest you use an md5 of the PHP_SESS_ID or something and regenerate it in an iframe (using session_regenerate_id()).

EDIT: OR generate a psudo-random string (based on an md5 of sess_id + microtime) store the microtime's raw value + the md5 in the session array, when you submit score (in sub_gwiz.php) generate it again (based on session'd microtime) and if it matches then it's valid. Regenerate the sessionid.
