I am replacing my shock absorbers and want to place new coil springs.
My Vixen has one shock absorber per side at the back and 185/65 15 inch tyres.
I was thinking of 175 LB at the front and 130 LB at the back
What will be the right coil springs for a "normal" ride height?

I think current thinking is about 190lb all round unless you are a fat bastartd then it is something like 195 - 200lb
Free length is critical though so talk to Adrian.
Neil.
IF you are replacing the old springs like for like then the old 13 inch are more likely to be 14 inch, compressed and pre loaded to give you an unknown figure and perhaps your figures might be about correct giving that 70's feel, if you are replacing the shock and springs then perhaps you are looking for spring rates to carry the car with ride height adjusting..it rather depends on the shock you buy. If you buy Spax then the alloy collets need to be taken into account.
