G50 03 - Replacement rubber mount?

Hi chaps,

Noticed a split in the rubber doughnut that surrounds horizontal steel insert that the rear of the G/B hangs on. Found a replacement Porsche part number for G50 03 (96437505502) and one for a G50 10 - an RS (96437505580).

Two questions:

1) Anyone tried to remove the mound from the g/b end?

2) Does anyone know of a more rigid rubber mount - is that G50 10 box the same just beefed up for the RS version?

Another question, does the G50 03 have the same rear tail as the G50 05 and G50 10?

In true Lucky fashion I've gone ahead with the Carrera 964RS transmision mount. It's the same size/shape as the G50 03/04/05 but with harder rubber.

I'll report back.
