Now that the warmer weather is on its way, I caught a bluebottle

Suspended apple

This little fella was about 2mm from end to end

And some greenfly prior to being zapped!

C & C welcome!

I loathe spiders, but he looks quite cute! Amazing pics, the hairs on the back of the fly are incredible.

Thanks guys wink

I used a 100mm Macro + all Kenko tubes on the fly and it looks like he could do with a shave! (the other shots were simply with the standard lens)

There are better pictures about but I'm just starting to learn the fine art of macro...

The spider is a Jumping Spider.

The spider is a Jumping Spider.
Stuck a skewer up the bottom of the apple and I then leant that against a heavy pan in the base of the sink. I then positioned the apple as best I could under the water and then adjusted the tap to make the water fall on the apple.

Picture taken, remove the skewer in Photoshop and job done wink

I'm no expert, I have a couple of shots of these and looked into them hehe

mogul, give focus stacking a bash when you get the chance, makes one hell of a difference! Good choice with the 100mm & Kenko tubes!

ETA, I see, nice work wink

Thanks, I'll read the link.

Have you had a go at 3D?

And

If you hold your finger in the middle of the photo and draw it closer to your eye, the image will become 3D. It requires a bit of practice, but does work!

Sorry about the mess on the side of the pot!

Can't be bothered any more. You'll have to have them big and jaggy.

The problem is Mogul that some viewers aren't on broadband, so the images take a while to load. The forum would prefer uploaders of pics to have them with the longest edge no larger than 750pixels. If you're using Elements for instance, go IMAGE - RESIZE - IMAGE SIZE - PIXEL DIMENSIONS and change the figure for the longest edge to 750. The dimensions are linked so it will automatically resize correctly. The image will then be correct dimensions for uploading to this forum.

Do we have stats for the % of users on dial-up on pistonheads? It's like saying "Some users still use internet explorer 5 on the mac, so we must make sure the pistonheads site works for them (which it probably won't".

There comes a point when small percentages no longer matter (if this is the case). I'm building a website just now for myself and if you're using IE6 then you will see a blank screen. I've past caring, and wasted far too many hours of my life botching websites to make them work in IE6.
