I had my first trackday the other week at Castle Combe and snapped some image. Through post-editing i came up with the picture below and wandered what you all thought. It's something different and i can imagine it's an aqquired taste but i was quite pleased with it. I went for a cross-processed Holga'ish effect. I was tempted to remove the sign but felt it looked odd without it.

Sorry about the watermark. New rules and all that.

Cheers

I overprocessed for a similar(ish) effect for some shots I took at a classic race meeting a month or 2 back, thought it fitted well with the older cars:

I've also done similar things previously as a way of trying to recover otherwise useless shots from overexposure, bad focus and so on.

IMO the car looks a bit soft in the first one (which is why I made the comment about recovering shots from mistakes) but the effect is fine, if anything I probably would have taken it a bit further than you did, boosted contrast etc some more. I like the panning shot of the Ferrari, any more?

ETA: If I'd read the thread title properly I would have left 'just a comment' instead of some of my own shots for comparison of the effects.
