Exhaust for E30 M3
Discussion
Can anyone recommend a good sports exhaust system for my E30 M3? Its an Evo II from 1991 and I use it on sunny days and the odd track day. Dont want some horrible max power dustbin type exhaust!
Tubi will only make a bespoke one for ££££s and I have been offered Eisenmann and Milltek systems at what looks like reasonable money c £500 plus vat and fitting. What I want is a good quality product that makes a great noise and is might even realise a few more ponies of performance.
Live in London so a recommendation of a supplier in S East would be appreciated too.
Cheers

If you are looking for just performance then I have kept the origianl back box on both my M3's and had a pipe customly made to replace the cat by a company called pipecraft in the Basildon area. There specialise in making custom systems for classic american cars. They did a very good job, in mild steel it cost me £120 quid and on Bexley Motor Works rolling road produced 9.5 bhp

Hayward & Scott, avoid like the plague, a friend brought one for his SE about 4 years ago, very noisey cost about £800 IIRC and cost him about 30 bhp.
Milltek are good but due to being single pipe in design to the rear box can hang low and contact sleeping police men if car is lowered.
Supersprint Stainless systems are good, but have been known to crack at the rer beam mounts but this can happen to Milltek also but they are very good with warranty claims.
Speak to Oliver on s14power.com he produces a Supersprint 'copy' but made of heavier gauge stainless.

DOn't supersprint give a lifetime warranty though?
Not 100%, as their street system is mild steel with stainless tips I believe and the full stainless system is the Race system, not designed for street use, and they are the ones that suffer form cracks, and are on the noisy side.E30M3SE said:
