I'm considering adding a 57 plate Seat Leon FR TDI 170 to my fleet of cars, anyone out there know of the common faults that this car suffers with? I have an Audi A3 S-Line 2.0TDI 170, so know the engine and transmission well, but even the Audi has a few gremlins. Just wondered what the Leon's achilles heels are before committing to buy one.

Tell me about it getting a new car next month the audi is going.

No more windows going all the way up then coming down of there own accord.
No more having to click the open doors button 2 times to unlock all doors.
No more boot not opening.
No more horible crunching sounds if i give it to much ooopmh with the traction control off .

I shall miss it but to many problems to live with for a brand new car.

You still need to doubleclick the unlocker on the Leon.

You can change the double clicker thing with VAG-COM, or ask a friendly dealer to do it for you. Leons are similar to the A3 concerning the running gear. Just DPF's and the normal things are things to look for. An cheaper plastics.
