So it wasn't that 'special' then

My dad had two of these. 1300 engines and weighed about 4 tonnes from what I can remember. Didn't stop 6 of us piling in for a ten hour trip to Wales every year though. Could probably do the same journey in three hours now...

Mine was the 1100 hc. The hc was the special part I think. It had some weird foam padded dashboard which vauxhall may of thought was a safety thing. Unfortunately it didn't half blaze when the wiring behind the dash cooked itself. I watched it get a charcoal respray from the safety of the a46 hard shoulder :/
