Here are a couple of pics from a recent rainy GTROC meeting. First real go with the new Canon 40D - got to say I'm pretty pleased as a start (especially the corvette one).







New GTR is pretty impressive in the metal so to speak:

40D is great - although still getting used to it. Had a Minolta 7D previously - traded it in with lenses etc.. Although the canon interface is obviously different I am finding it easy adapting to the different menus etc.

AF speed and general feel and ease of use is excellent. When getting it I had a choice of Canon 40D or Nikon D300. Chose the Canon 'cos I seemed to get on better with it. Got the 17-85 IS lens and am very happy (now need to save the pennies for flashgun, tele zoom etc..)
