... Was tidying up some wiring in the dash earlier, just ready to put the top back on, and noticed the LEDs around the heater glowing. Also the back light to the blower control.

As I'd been guddling in that region yesterday looking for a feed and earth for the Emerald tacho interface, automatically assumed I'd done something daft with the wiring. Seeme to get dimmer and brighter when jiggling the wires so I then get thinking something is feeding back through the tach box, so I snip out the connections.

No difference, and most strange 'cos the lights seem to vary in brightnes depending how close your hands get...

...doh! Bloody sunlight shining through the back 'cos the top is off. So, spent a happy hour fixing something that wasn't broken
