Petrol ted and Rthiery, thanks for the response.
I read about the event in sprint, but have booked my own place at the de vere hotel as I know how limiting they are on space, only 5 rooms left. so if this is to be the location, they should prebook some of the remaining rooms

The Car Club block book rooms in order to get discount rates so you may be paying over the odds if you're not careful.
I went a couple of years ago and left on the Monday morning. Due to horrific traffic I actually returned to stay another night.
I rang the De Vere and they wanted £130 or so for the room. I baulked at that so they said I could have it for £80. When I turned up and said I was part of the TVRCC event they gave it to me for £50...

It has aready been published in sprint that the venue is the De Vere hotel. So the reason there are only five rooms left is probable down to the fact that the rest of the hotel has been booked by the club.
In the last few years about 200 cars went. However last year a lot of those booked at the last minute, which make it hard for the club to arrange it.

The Trough of Bowland isn't too far away either - that's where EVO did their world exclusive Tamora test - fabulous scenery, and nice roads. Try the 'Hark to Bounty' pub, in Slaidburn - the pub is named after a dog that lived there in the 18th. century, and barked incessantly when coaches arrived - hence "listen to Bounty, barking 'er f***ing 'ed off!"
For those of you who did attend last year. I took loads of picture of cars as they were arriving at the De Vere on the Sunday after our show along the seafront. I'm going to bring them with me in May and if you see your car and you like the picture you wil be more than willing to have it for your collection. Think I have a about 40 pictures from the year before. I will also bring these along. Unless TVRCC want them for their Mag for show off peoples pride and joys.
