I need to replace the pads and front discs on my 3R (24k service advice).
I'm thinking of using the DS2500s all round with front AP Grooved Discs - I don't track all that much and didn't want to suffer the low speed squeal from the Pagids on the road.

I see from previous threads that most of you with AP grooved discs use the Pagid pads.

So my question to those who have tried the various combinations
1) is there any any problem with the DS2500 pads with grooved discs?
2) is there actually much benefit with the AP discs with mainly road use - i.e. better brake feel?

Cheers

Andrew

I have the ds2500's pads with the standard drilled discs.

On the road ,they are not immune to low speed squealing, and take warming up to get any bite, (you only forget to warm them up once!!)

Ita always a trade off , but if you are going to track your car , with road use they are a good compromise. IMHO.

You can get them for around 80 quid a set , so worth a try..

Andrew - standard discs and 2500s will be absolutely fine for normal road use. If you want to splash out on the AP grooved discs then that's your choice, but you won't really get their full benefit and it has been said that grooved discs actully get through pads quicker.
If you're going to do a fair amount of track work (as do most of the folk on here who have upgraded discs/pads) then it is a good investment.
