Who's a member of the V-Power club?
Discussion
The bloke at the garage could only offer me a Shell Drivers club card, and told me I'd have to contact Shell customer services to join the V-Power club.
I have, and they told me that after i've brought 300 litres of their petrol they'll consider inviting me to join their exclusive club.
Anyone else a member? Are the benefit of the V-power club much better than the Shell drivers club?
Seeing as the only petrol I buy is Optimax I thought I might as well join.

As much as I almost hate to say it....... But if its only about the measly discount, then wouldn't you be better off using Tesco's 99 stuff and their club card? The fuel is supposedly good, and the clubcard points do add up, and you'll get discount vouchers in the post that amount to much more than a couple of quid. They send them out a couple of times a year I think? And you can use them for money off fuel. For example, I just got a huge £6.50 off my last tank. Ok, its not huge really, on the scale of things. But still looks like a better deal than Shell?
Plus if you shop at Tesco already, then you are likely already clocking up the points towards your money off vouchers.

All I buy is Optimax, so I assumed even a little reward would be worth claiming....doug
But a £2.50 return after spending around £570 on petrol???
Pathetic.

get a Shell Citigroup credit card and just use it to pay for fuel - you get additional points and discount on the fuel
Yeah my dad said about getting one as he gets decent cashback on it (he fills up the Audi with derv there and the 7 & 182 with V-Power there as well, so it gets well used!).I'm a drivers club member, so may as well get the citicard to make the best out of something I have to do anyway...

So what exactly are the benefits of one of these citi shell cards? What's the cashback percentage rate? And I'll get extra drivers club card points also?
3% cashback on fuel, 1% on other spends, comes off your bill whenever you fill upSay you spend £100 on shopping, you get a £1 item on your statement
The next month you spend another £100, you now have £2
When you go to the Shell garage the £2 comes off your bill, so 20 litres of fuel now costs you £18 instead of £20
This visit also earns you 60p cashback towards the next visit (3% of £20)
I actuallt work for the Shell Drivers Club customer services yaaay hate ME!
Anyhow, a minimum of 150 LTS of any type of V-Power is req per quarter. Ýf you meet this requirement you MAY have your account upgraded to V-PC and you automatically get a card in the post. All the points from the Drivers' Club account are in the V-PC account as the accounts are merged. All you need to do is re-register your new V-PC online- that is if your SDC card was registered on the website, this is to allow the system to recognise your new card number.
We get a lot of people who assume that just because they buy lots of VP that they get upgraded and that ifn they continue to use their SDC card they'll be getting the double pts of v-power. Don't ASSUME. Unless you get a card, you can't be sure of the upgrade. And you will need to use the V-Power card to get double points on your V-Power purchases.
The citi card doesn't earn points towards SDC\VPC.
EDİT- forgot to add the VPC has a special reward that SDC doesn't. You can use your points to purchase exclusive Ferarri and Ducati items on the website. Now I know you're aware of the automatic pt redemption at the end of every quarter, choosing Ferrari rewards is a way around the automatic redemp. Unless you USE your points for purchasing items on the site, they're not lost. Once you've built up a sum you can change to vouchers or something.
Any questions?
