Well, soon to be anyway!
Brief history - early 90s was taken out in a pre-cat griff. OMG, I loved it so much I promised myself one day I would have one.
Well, that day's come, but looking around at Griffs I stumble accross the S.... I then realised that what I loved about the griff was the rumble of the V8.. and then realised that I love the look and appeal of the S moreso than the griff.
Soooo, I really want an S. Now, I beleive there's a 4l v8 version, which is the one I'd have to have. That's all I really know about it.
I have read lots of threads re what to look for (chassis etc).
Not knew to motor forums, I've had two elises in my time and used to gas at Seloc (if you've heard of it).
ANY advice, tips etc would be really appreciated.

Radox, welcome to the wonderful world of S's 
It might be worth your while trying to grab a spare seat with someone going to S Club on 15/6. You'll see plenty of cars / owners there and sometimes there are a couple for sale.

Good choice. 
As mentioned above, don't dismiss the V6 either. When you star one up (particularly inside a garage), you'd swear TVR had sneaked a couple of extra cylinders in there. I haven't been in a V8 to comment on the performance, but I suspect neither would keep up with your Elise point to point, but they offer a rather different way of doing it. Be warned, you'll get hooked.

I'm not really concerned about 0-60, or wrapping it around a bend. I loved my elises, nice and nippy, but no torque/noise/crap interior, and Im too fat to get in one now! lol.
To be honest (other than on you-tube) I've not heard a V6/V8 in the flesh on the S. But I dont expect to be dissapointed.
I'd love to come on this run -where's the meet at?

Hi - I live 7 miles from you and my body and chassis are due to be reunited this Sunday - if you want you can come and have a look and I can walk you around all the weak points, my chassis had most of them, Evening or anytime before Sunday.
