Can anyone recommend make / size of tyres for the standard vixen alloy for road use? Do people tend to stick with 165? Are there any issues with a larger tyre?

185 / 65 / 15 max width on a std Vixen rim. I like Yokohama but there are others about.

Thanks for that Neil. What was the profile of the original tyre, the old tyres on the car have 165 SR or R 15 on them, are they 70ish? Would changing the profile affect speedo accuracy greatly?

What you mean you think your existing speedo is accurate??

Don't worry. the % aspect ratio of width is pretty close to the original 165 / 80.

You can fit a 60 profile tyre but I think the ride gets more harsh than you would want in a road car. They also don't fill the arches any near as well.
