Will be staying up for a couple of nights at least. Not sure if Sat and Sun or Fri and Sat.

Weather permitting, hoping to flex leg muscles on saturday and car muscles on sunday

Crap curries I am afraid. Bivolis or Max's. Both are pretty rubbish. I use them regularly but always wonder why I bother (but I do live 3 miles from them!).

Some great walks up at Curbar Edge. You can even stand where Pride and Prejudice was filmed.

Maybe a steak then?
Any decent real ale places and/or steak/decent food options.

A good pub is the Chequers in Froggat. Good pub grub with a modern twist and average prices. 4 miles from Bakewell.
I dont think there are any good restaurants in Bakewell (but as I have kids I tend not to eat out that often unless family meals or when just me and the wife we go for it big style).
There is an italian in Bakewell.

I thought the pizzas were ok but the rest of it looks good.
A better place is Baslow. Rowleys is excellent but slightly pricey.
There are other places in Baslow but they are £100 per head plus.
