Thought we were going to have a 'Pie on the Beach' in Essex for a moment there and was getting all excited.

Think we should do it in Frinton-on-sea - TIVs would look well smart parked up infront of the Greensward - mind you the noise from the exhausts would give some of the old dears a heart attack.

I was in Frinton on Monday, I've never seen so many people swimming in the sea at a beach in the UK before.

Max wasn't allowed to swim on the middle beach (some sort of anti dog blue flag regulations), so we had to take him down by the golf club end.

There did appear to be some poor people there, but they were being identified and put on a bus to Clacton

Sorry mentioned this before but it always makes me laugh.

Harwich for the Continent - Clacton for the incontinent.

My dog once peed all over someone's picnic basket on the beach at Walton on the naze. We just walked on pretending he was a stray.

Can't see 50 odd TVRs being very welcome in Frinton.

Can't see anyone wanting to leave 50 odd TVRs unattended at any point in Clacton.

Walton on the Naze is nice place for a picnic (excepting bladder deficient dogs ) but not much else there.

Perhaps we ought to chuck in with the Suffolk lot. They are meant to have some nice beaches up their way.

Probably would make the front page of the Essex County Standard. I can just see the headline now.

"High Performance Internet Junkies invade sleepy Frinton on Sea"

Lovely greensward tho' - with plenty of parking in front - would make an excellent photo opportunity.

y.

Shame. My in-laws live in Colchester. Being a Welsh lad where the sea is ...errr... the sea I was AMAZED at all the little huts at Frinton. Quite remarkable - a culture I knew nothing about until marrying my Essex Girl wife. (pah! no white handbag or shoes - call that an Essex Girl?) . I reckon it would be a top laugh to do a Beachside tivver (or PHer with other marques) meet at Frinton. Of course...we'd all need to show our our bank statements at Border Control...
